Why do you need to warm up the breaker when using it?

2022-06-29

In the equipment use management system, operators are required to warm up the breaker before the actual crushing, especially in winter construction, the need for this stage is more rigorous. However, many construction teams feel that this process is very complicated and consumes a lot of energy. Time, it can still be used without development, and usually it is because of the neglect of this work that the hammer machine has obvious wear and tear. From then on, let's look at the necessity of warming up before use.

This is affected by the characteristics of the breaking hammer itself. The breaking hammer has a large vibration force and a fast working frequency, which damages the sealing components much faster than other hammers. Preheating the machine makes all parts of the body slow and evenly warm up. To the normal ambient temperature, the process of oil seal damage can be alleviated.

When the hydraulic oil is in a static state, a solid oil film adheres between the piston and the oil seal. When the breaker is warmed up, the wet hydraulic oil flushes the relatively solid hydraulic oil film, and a new hydraulic oil film is established to expand the oil seal. , to ensure that the piston and oil seal are not prone to contusion hazards in the early stage.

When the breaker starts to work, it is in a cold state. Suddenly, hot oil comes in, and the heat expands and contracts, which will cause great damage to the oil seal. Coupled with the operation of the fast working frequency, it will easily cause oil leakage. And the oil seal has been replaced many times. Therefore, warming up the machine before using the hammer is more beneficial than harmful to customers or us.

Warm-up procedure: Lift the breaker vertically off the ground, step on the foot valve for about 1∕3 of the stroke, and see that the main oil inlet pipe vibrates slightly (the oil pipe near the cab side), and keep the foot on the stroke for about 20-40min.
